Another busy week. Harvests were full this week and our seed trials are blooming with promise. Meet tweedia (above)! A perennial from South America and a vine in the milkweed family, it turned out to be much easier to grow than I expected. The tiny blue-gray flowers are sweet and popular for weddings, adding texture and interests to different flower scapes, or arrangements.
The farm will welcome our first workshops of the year in a couple of weeks on July 23 (click here for class registration) and July 24 (click here to register) in our comfy-cooled barn studio! We’re so, so excited to share an hour and a half of floral design skills and tips. I love our workshops! They are always lively and interesting with attendees often making it their own social hour, learning over flowers and enjoying friends. The two classes are limited to 10 guests each and spots are being taken quickly. Register today if you’d like to join our seasonal summer arranging class!
Sunflowers are blooming, dahlias, zinnias, celosia, cosmos, lemon verbena, and mint are thriving, and we can’t wait to see you.
Until then,
Lis & Tim
